Minas Gerais produces per year, more than 200 million of liters of sugar-cane liquor. Cachaça, as it is called, is home or industrially produced in small alembics. Motivated by the need of professionalization, some producers of Minas Gerais started certifying their products, ensuring their origin and quality. In the Central Market, you find the main brands that made the national drink famous, which is currently exported to several countries. The Expocachaça, an International Fair and Festival of Cachaça, takes place during the SuperAgro Minas, at Expominas Convention Center in Belo Horizonte, and is when you can taste different brands of sugar-cane liquor.
Learn more about it at the 9th ExpoCachaça site.
