Caraça Sanctuary is a tour for the ones who love history, wildlife and bird watching. We will visit the unique Caraça Natural Reserve with the 18th century Sanctuary and School. Besides the historical attractions, the Caraça is a place surrounded by natural wonders. Rivers, mountains and waterfalls are everywhere. The place is an intersection area of two great ecosystems. The Cerrado, with its rich flora, and the Atlantic Forest with its unique fauna and lush vegetation frame the landscape. This is the reason Caraça is such a great place for bird watching. Species from both ecosystem live in the area. The main attraction in Caraça is the “Meet and Feed the Wolves”. The Caraça priests have fed the manned wolves for years, so then they come to the Sanctuary at night to eat.
