You will be picked up at your hotel for a half-day tour to Itiquira complex, in Formosa district, approximately 70 km northeast from Brasilia. There you will find the highest waterfall in central plateau, 168 meters. The falls are formed by the drop of the Itiquira River from the higher central plateau north of Formosa city into the deep Parana River valley.
At the site there is a mini-touristic complex, with an excellent infrastructure consisting of a campground and several small restaurants. Above the falls there are three other waterfalls, rapids and several swimming hotes. 36 mineral water springs are found in the area. Below the falls, the river forms a series of small waterfalls, rapids and deep pools, in a rugged terrain covered by dense tropical vegetation.
A stop will be made for a typical Brazilian lunch.
Duration: approximately 6 hours
Departures: Mondays through Sundays at 9h00.
