Know Brazil Playing Golf is a project aimed at divulging the tourism for the practice of golf in the Brazilian courses. Introduced in 2004 through a partnership between Embratur and the Brazilian Tourism Bureau, the circuit takes place in stages along the whole year, which happen in sophisticated tourist and sports installations in the states of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brasília, Espírito Santo, Paraná, and Bahia.
The hotels, resorts, and golf course become partners in the development of tourism and golf in the low season months. Besides playing the sport, tourists have the opportunity of knowing the destinations where the golf courses are, as well as the most sought tourist itineraries in the area.
In all those installations, participants – whether professionals or amateurs – will find different programs, special fees for their stay during the event, exemption of the green fee in the two days of official games, gifts, prizes for the winners of the tournaments, besides golf training for those who want to improve their strokes or want to start playing.
