Campeche Beach - It's located 20 km from downtown, with 11,5Km extension, open sea. It's a great option to the surf practice.
Morro das Pedras Beach - It has a dangerous and agitated sea. It's located 22Km from the downtown. It offers an enchanted panoramic view of the other beaches in the south of the island. It has a rocky coast that is very beautiful and very good for those who appreciate fishing.
Armacao Beach - It's located 25Km from downtown. It's a beautiful and calm beach where the native fishermen rent their boats called "Baleeiras" to do some tours in the Campeche island. By this beach you can find typical restaurants.
Matadeiro Beach - It's separated from the Armacao Beach by a river and accessible only by walking. Very good for Surf practice.
Pantano do Sul Beach - It's located 31Km from downtown and is where you can find the most authentic fishermen colonies.
Ribeirao da Ilha - It's the oldest district in the island, the most typical place in Florianopolis and where the Azorian influence can be noticed in each detail. You will find preserved houses with the typica architecture from the Azores Islands. It's located 36Km from downtown, calm beach but with almost no sand. There they use water to produce oysters, a new economy alternative for those who live there.
