Day -
Manaus / Amazon Rainforest
Transfer from your hotel at 8h30.
80km by road to the small Village of Rio Preto da Eva where a motorized canoe will be waiting to take you to Malocas Jungle Lodge.
Arrival and acommodation.
Lunch.
Canoe tour throuht the Igarapés to visit the caboclos who still live in similar conditions to their indian ancestors.
On the way back, you will fish for piranhas.
Dinner.
Alligators spotting.
Overnight at the lodge.

2
Day -
Amazon Rainforest
Paddle through the Igapós in small canoes.
Breakfast.
Jungle trek with guides explanations about the various uses of the plants.
On the way back, visit one of the many waterfalls.
Lunch.
Paddling with canoes through the Igapós and Igarapés. Optional swimming in the river.
Dinner.
Sitting around the campfire to appreciate the tranquility of the night.
Overnight at the lodge.

3
Day -
Amazon Rainforest
Breakfast.
Jungle trek (different eco system) ending at a waterfall where you can swim before returning.
Lunch.
Canoe tour for survival training where you will learn to live like the indians using natural products such as roots and medicinal plants.
Trek into the jungle where you will construct improvised shelters and cook on a campfire.
Dinner.
Overnight in hammocks slung between the trees.

Day -
Amazon Rainforest / Manaus
Breakfast.
Trek back to the Lodge.
Lunch.
Return in motorized canoes to Vila do Rio Preto da Eva and then 80 km by road to Manaus.

Included in the package:
* Permanent assistance of an expert bilingual guide;
* 3 overnights at the lodge;
* Meals: 3 breakfast, 4 lunches and 3 dinners; and

Not included in the package:
*Airport taxes and air tickets to and from Manaus;
*Medical expenses and hospitalization;
*Any type of insurance;
*Beverages;
*Personal expenses or extras; and
*Tips.
What to bring:
T-shirts, long sleeved shirt, sneakers or hiking boots, jeans or track suit, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, binoculars, flashlight, camera and film. Sweatshirt or sweater recommended from June to September.
We also suggest you bring some cash to pay your extra expenses as several lodges do not accept credit cards.
Important remark:
1. The below mentioned rates are per person.
2. This package is not valid during Christmas, New Years, Carnival and Holidays.
3. The activities described may be altered due to weather conditions, season or group make-up with the intent of maximizing your experience of the eco-system.
4. If you have extra luggage left in Manaus, please keep your guide informed when of your transfer to the lodge.
5. The new rules and regulation from the Official Navy Department in the Amazon demand that every passenger boarded in a boat during transfers in the Amazon River needs to be in a passenger list containing full name, date of birth and nationality. Otherwise the transportation company will pay a fine and might be stopped apprehended, delaying the regular transfers. Please inform us your details when of your booking request. |
