Imagine a city, in the middle of the jungle, 400 km from Manaus and only accessible by boat or airplane. It hosts once a year an outrageous spectacle - and has a very rustic infra structure! The solution is simple: a boat trip. You will be sleeping on a comfortable boat and live this Jewel of Folklore intensly.
The Boi-Bumba festival brings the city of Parintins to life. 35,000 people arrive by boat and 2000 by plane to join the two colourful troupes of characters (O Garantido and O Caprichoso) that tell the history of the Amazon folklore. This atmospheric festival takes place in the 'Bumbodromo' and there you can see fantastic Folklore Spectacle created by Indians in the middle of the jungle!! It is a life time privilege to assist this Opera of the Jungle with its costumes, beautifully dressed flag bearers and decorated floats, all moving to the different Indian rhythms.

Pick-up at your hotel in Manaus and transfer to pier.
At 19h00 embark and accommodation. The boat leaves at 22h00 and the trip to Parintins takes about 18 hours.

Important remarks:
* Please note that we do not find a roommate for you.
* Special seats at Parintins Festival: the best place to participate in the Festival that are numbered seats, located in the upper center of the arena just front of the Bumbás presentation.
* Prices are subject to change without previous notice and reservations are subject to availability.
* 50% prepayment non-refundable is required in order to confirm your reservation.
* Balance is due 30 days prior arrival. Cancellation after 15 days prior arrival are non-refundable.
* Rates are per person based on:
2 pax = double or twin cabin; 3 pax = triple cabin; 4 pax = quadruple cabin.
* The new rules and regulation from the Official Navy Department in the Amazon demand that every passenger boarded in a boat during transfers in the Amazon River needs to be in a passenger list containing full name, date of birth and nationality. Otherwise the transportation company will pay a fine and might be stopped apprehended, delaying the regular transfers. Please inform us your details when of your booking request. |
