You will be picked up at your hotel and, during the tour, you will be able to have a taste of the Manaus of the rubber boom days, as well as of the thriving metropolis that has made it such a coveted tourist destination today.
Among the highlights of our tour are: the Rio Negro Palace, former Official Site of the State Government, the Indian Museum with a fantastic display of artifacts produced by tribes of the Upper Negro river; a regional handicraft exhibition with some items on sale; downtown with its floating harbour, which adjusts to the river's ever-changing levels; and the Art Nouveau cast-iron, turn-of-the-century Municipal Market "Adolpho Lisboa" where all imaginable regional goods are sold and the outstanding Opera House - Teatro Amazonas, inaugurated in 1896.
