Proposal

Ueso Farm

Fazenda Ueso is a nature and rustic lodge in the Pantanal wetlands, a largely untouched region with a great variety of fauna and flora.

Proposal

1 Day - Cuiaba / Poconé / Pantanal

Leaving the airport towards Poconé well known for its gold mining since Jesuit times.
You will be able to observe the topographic and vegetation change from the Cuiabá plain to the Pantanal plain.
Stop for a barbecue lunch.
Continuation on the Transpantaneira (earth road) until Ueso farm.During the way you can observe the local fauna and flora.
Arrival, check-in and accommodation.
Dinner and overnight at the farm.

2 Day - Pantanal

Optional trekking to watch the sunrise
Breakfast at the farm.
Boat trip with piranha fishing.
Return and lunch at the farm.
Walk around to apreciate the river.
Dinner and overnight at the farm.

3 Day - Pantanal

Breakfast at the farm.
This time the excursion is on horse-back, even for the beginners (tame horses).
Return and lunch at the farm.
With renewed energies our next tour is on a bike through Transpantaneira. If we're lucky it's possible to observe Crocodilles (Cayman), Tuiuiús (Jaburús), birds and other animals.
Return to the farm for dinner and overnight.

4 Day - Pantanal / Cuiaba

Breakfast at the farm.
Depending on flight time it's still possible to do some horse riding or biking.
Transfer to Cuiaba.

Observation

Important remarks:
1. The above mentioned rates are per person, based on double room occupancy, and valid until December 2010.
2. This package is not valid during Christmas, New Years, Carnival and Holidays periods.
3. The activities described may be altered due to weather conditions, season or group make-up with the intent of maximizing your experience of the eco-system.
4. Guide options: English, German, Dutch and Portuguese.
5. During the dry season (June-September) there are many more wild animals to see. The rain season however (october-May) has its own charms making the trip worthwhile.
6. This programme is possible only when the flight arrival time is no later than midday and departure flight is after 13h00.

*Transfers from and to Cuiaba (regular basis);
*3 overnights at Ueso Farm with full board;
*All above mentioned activities.

*Airport taxes and air tickets to and from Cuiaba;
*Beverages;
*Medical expenses and hospitalization;
*Any type of insurance;
*Personal expenses or extras;
*Tips.

What to bring:
T-shirts, long sleeved shirt, sneakers or hiking boots, jeans or track suit, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellent, binoculars, flashlight, camera and film. Sweatshirt or sweater recommended from June to September.
We also suggest you bring some cash to pay your extra expenses as several lodges do not accept credit cards.
