Making the most of Petrópolis's reputation as a winter destination, the Winter Music Festival takes place between June and July at the Palácio de Crystal, Palácio Rio Negro, Centro Cultural Raul de Leoni, and Praça da Liberdade.
The eclectic programming includes ballets, shows of popular and instrumental music, concerts of classical music, theatrical shows, lectures on the magic world of the opera and presentation of new talents of the Brazilian music. The exact dates are not defined yet but it generally happens in June and July.
